The First “Train the Trainer Training Course” in Cyprus by the ICCA
The first “Train the Trainer Training Course” provided by The Inns of Court College of Advocacy in the UK was held on the 24th and 25th of February 2020 in Limassol, Cyprus. Mrs Elena Konnari was one of the first five Cypriot Lawyers to attend the Trainers’ course.
The ICCA strives for academic and professional excellence and draws on the expertise of the legal profession not only across the Inns, Circuits, Specialist Bar Associations and the Judiciary within the UK but also across student barristers and practitioners at all levels of seniority on an international scale.
The training was led by qualified barristers and advanced advocacy trainers of the ICCA namely Messrs Grahame Aldous QC, Neil Chawla, Simon Mallett, Christopher Melton QC, Jennie Oborne and Faisal Sadiq.
The course focused on the topics of Case Analysis, Examination in Chief, Cross-Examination and Closing Speeches.
Following this course for prospective trainers, further training sessions on advocacy are expected to be held in Cyprus soon.
